Mrs Mason is the Pastoral Support Advisor at Penryn Primary Academy. Many people are unsure of what Pastoral support is and how it can help them. While a huge part of the role is to support the children in school, Mrs Mason is also here to provide support to you as a family too. We have access to information and resources that can help with life challenges. Some examples are listed below:

Food bank vouchers for our local foodbank centre in Penryn.

Help with heating and electrical costs through Community Energy Plus.

Access to Cornwall Council's Early Help Hub - if you feel you are struggling at home managing challenging behaviours and feel that you need advice and support as a family. This also covers the school nursing team.

Signposting to various free parenting courses on-line and in our local area.

Mental Health Support for adults as well as children

Bereavement support through Penhaligons Friends. This is a service that can give you as a family some lovely resources and support you as you navigate your way through a really tough time.
Mrs Mason is on the Junior site playground most mornings before school so please do say hello and most importantly never be worried about asking for help. We all need extra support at times and if we can help we will. You can request Mrs Mason to contact you through the school office either via email or phone.
